A share link is the fastest way to put an agent in front of someone. You generate a URL in the dashboard, send it, and the recipient opens it and starts talking — no account, no login, no code on your side.
This is the right tool for demos, client reviews, and internal QA. For something permanent on your own website, embed the voice widget or chat widget instead.
1

Open the agent

Select the agent you want to share in the dashboard.
2

Click Share

The Share button in the agent header opens the share dialog and generates a link.
3

Copy and send it

The dialog shows the URL, a countdown to expiry, and a Regenerate button. Copy the link and send it to whoever needs it.
The link looks like this:

What the recipient gets

Opening the link loads a hosted page showing your agent’s name and organization, with two ways to talk to it:

Voice

A live voice call in the browser, the same experience as the voice widget.

Chat

A text conversation with the same agent.
Recipients need no OpenMic account to use either mode. Calls placed through a share link run against your agent and are billed to your organization, exactly like any other call.
Anyone with the link can talk to your agent, and can also clone it. The share page offers a “clone this agent” action that copies the agent’s configuration into the visitor’s own OpenMic account after they sign in. Treat a share link as public: send it only to people you would be willing to hand a copy of the agent to.

Expiry and limits

Because links expire after a day, a share link is not a substitute for embedding. If you find yourself regenerating one repeatedly for the same page, that is a sign you want a widget.
An expired or revoked link shows a clear “this share link has expired” message rather than failing silently, so recipients know to ask you for a new one.
